April 2023

Each year during the springtime, there is a day when a special gift arrives. It is a day that I look forward to every year. It is a day when everything feels good, really good. A day in the springtime when the sky seems extra blue. A day when the sun feels warm and cozy but not too hot. It is a day when you start noticing that nature is rebooting and reblooming. March 2023

March is the official launch date for our new Going Bold campaign and I am very excited about its beginning. My prayer is that this campaign will move us toward paying off our Worship Center debt while launching some new and important ministry initiatives at the same time.

I love the name “Going Bold” since “boldness” is one of the consistent evidences of the Holy Spirit’s presence and work in a believer’s life. Therefore, Going Bold is another way of saying we are going to faithfully keep in step with God’s Holy Spirit as he leads our church into its future.

February 2023

In a recent worship service, Garrett put together a video where Calvary members of all ages were answering the question: Why I Love Calvary. Their heartfelt answers were encouraging and inspiring. January 2023

It is hard to believe that 2022 is almost over. It has been a busy and fruitful year for our church..

I am very pleased with the hard work that so many have put into our ministry plans and our ministry projects this past year. I will look forward to sharing some of these in my annual “State of the Church Address” to be given on Sunday morning January 22.

In the meantime, we have the honor of kicking off the new year on January 1st with Ryan Perkins preaching our New Year’s message. Ryan and Callie will also share a brief update on their new church plant in Austin, Texas. Some very exciting things are in motion with this new church which is now one of Calvary’s mission partners.
