A New Year Begins | January 2026
Calvary Family,
Let me be one of the first to wish each of you a Happy New Year.
Calvary Family,

Calvary Family,
It truly is hard to believe that December is already here. Where did the year go? As we move toward the conclusion of 2025, I am always excited for the holiday season with the numerous fellowship and worship activities that come with this time of year.
Autumn in Arkansas is one of the most beautiful times of the year. Cool mornings and evenings, colorful trees, joyful festivals, and upcoming holidays to enjoy. These are all beautiful gifts given to us by our gracious and glorious God.
Sadly, the past few months have been marred by political violence in our nation. The vicious attack on Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, and the murders of Charlie Kirk and legislator Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, are heart-breaking. These despicable acts have brought this issue to the forefront of national news once again.
In a recent sermon from Revelation, the biblical text stressed the importance of being a bold and faithful witness for Christ no matter the cost. As I thought about this teaching, I asked myself, how do I know if I will be a bold and faithful witness if harsh persecution is going to be the result?
Well, summer has certainly come and will soon be gone, especially for our teachers and students.
