I am excited that August has arrived and hope that everyone will have a strong finish to their summer. At Calvary, we will have numerous special worship services in August.

Summer missions 2026 is off to a fast start at Calvary. We have already had a great week of Vacation Bible School and our deacons have already successfully served a great meal to the World Changers of Little Rock

’ll never forget my early experiences with Vacation Bible School when Red Rover was a favorite VBS recreational activity. And of course, Scott was always able to break the human chain and rescue his imprisoned teammates (for those of you who played Red Rover, you know what I'm talking about).

I want to express my appreciation to our missions committee for organizing and leading our recent “Serve the City” mission day here in Little Rock. It was great to see more than fifty of Calvary’s members volunteering to serve together. It was also beautiful seeing the intergenerational make up of our teams.

I’m excited about a special opportunity for the Calvary family that will take place on Saturday, April 25. It will be Calvary’s own local missions service day. This year, our Missions Committee is planning a day for the Calvary family to serve alongside some of our local mission partners.
