A Month to Celebrate Our Love for God and Our Love for Calvary

February 2023

In a recent worship service, Garrett put together a video where Calvary members of all ages were answering the question: Why I Love Calvary. Their heartfelt answers were encouraging and inspiring. We truly have a great church that is full of love for God and love for people and love for each other.

This February, we will not only be celebrating who Calvary is today, but we also will be celebrating who Calvary will become tomorrow. With this vision in mind, many in our church have been prayerfully and thoughtfully working on Calvary’s next Strategic Plan – a ministry guide to help us accomplish the plans God has for us during the next five years. This is a vision that we believe God has placed on our hearts. So, what’s been the process?

State of the Church Address

January 2023

It is hard to believe that 2022 is almost over. It has been a busy and fruitful year for our church..

I am very pleased with the hard work that so many have put into our ministry plans and our ministry projects this past year. I truly believe that our church is on the verge of some exciting kingdom opportunities. I will look forward to sharing some of these in my annual “State of the Church Address” to be given on Sunday morning January 22.

In the meantime, we have the honor of kicking off the new year on January 1st with Ryan Perkins preaching our New Year’s message. Ryan and Callie will also share a brief update on their new church plant in Austin, Texas. Some very exciting things are in motion with this new church which is now one of Calvary’s mission partners.

Christmas at Calvary and Changes to Come

December 2022

As we approach the 2022 Christmas season at Calvary, I am very excited. I am looking forward to our wonderful Christmas parties along with our wonderful Christmas worship services. This year, “The Bridge Christmas Celebration” and “The Calvary Christmas Choir Cantata” will be on Sunday morning, December 11. Additionally, I am looking forward to our traditional Christmas Eve service and a unique Christmas Day worship experience.

A Time For Gratitude

November 2022

November is the month of thanksgiving. Because of this, Calvary has developed a tradition known as Gratitude Sunday which is celebrated each year on the Sunday prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. This year, Gratitude Sunday at Calvary will be on November 20th.

Fall Weather, Fall Foliage, and the Family Discipleship Conference

October 2022

It’s October, my favorite month of the year. Why? Beautiful weather, beautiful trees, football, and the Family Discipleship Conference.

Our Next Sermon Series Will Be A Study of Exodus

September 2022

As we head into the fall, we will begin a new sermon series. This next year, we will be studying the bible’s book of Exodus. Why Exodus, you might ask?
