The Night Nobody Slept (Exodus 11-12)
Have you ever had a night when you didn’t sleep due to a perceived threat to the safety of your family?
In Exodus chapters 11 and 12 we read about such a night. Indeed, it was a dangerous night, not just for Egyptian families, but also for Hebrew families. And sadly, the night did turn deadly. Shortly after midnight, every Egyptian household lost a first-born son. The Hebrew families were only spared the same tragedy due to their obedience to God’s detailed instructions that involved having the blood of a sacrificial lamb cover the doorframes of their homes. Join us for this sermon about a sleepless night, about a night to remember.
