When you become familiar with something, it is easy to lose your sense of wonder over its beauty. This is no different with the cross. When you have heard countless sermons, sat through years worth of Good Friday services, and seen images of the cross in church or at home, it is easy to lose your sense of wonder over its beauty. In this sermon on Luke 23, our hope is for you to regain your wonder over the cross by recognizing that it is the epicenter of the biblical story, Luke’s story, and all of human history.
