Bezalel & Oholiab: Craftsmen Extraordinaire (Exodus 31 & 35)
In this sermon, we meet two extraordinarily gifted men who led God’s people in building the tabernacle along with its furniture and furnishings.
These men were chosen by God, called by God, and equipped by God to complete the detailed and ornate work that he had for them. They were able to sculpt and mold gold, silver, and bronze. They were given the ability to carve wood and cut and mount gemstones. They could sew and embroider and weave linen fabrics. They were even able to engrave and design. Wow! What a talented team. Join us as we celebrate these craftsmen extraordinaire who trained and taught other artisans to use their gifts for God’s glory. As we celebrate them, we celebrate the craftsmen and artists in the church today. Perhaps, you are one of their kind. If so, we thank you for your service to our king and his kingdom.
