Jesus Reinstates Peter (John 21)

In John 21, we read about an intervention initiated by Jesus in behalf of the Apostle Peter.
Why is this needed? Perhaps because of Peter’s tragic failure to keep his promises of loyalty to Jesus. In the end, Peter abandons his Lord during Jesus’ time of greatest need. No doubt, this results in tremendous grief, regret, and shame for Peter. Join us in John 21 to examine the many literary clues that help us understand how Jesus is loving Peter back to his calling to be a fisher of men and a pastor of God’s flock.
