Hearing and Responding to the Holy Spirit

Jesus said, “my sheep will hear my voice, I will know them, and they will follow me (John 10:27).” So, how can we as believers hear God’s voice and follow him? Specifically, how does the Holy Spirit speak to believers and lead them in accomplishing God’s purposes? One such way is through spiritual promptings. These are specific assignments that God gives us as we journey through life. What should we do when we receive such an assignment? Will we hesitate? Will we debate whether its real or not? Will we question whether it is truly from God? Or, will we receive the assignment by faith and obediently and immediately take action to complete the assignment? In this sermon based on Acts 3, we will see how Peter responds to a spiritual prompting he receives from the Holy Spirit and discover what God did as a result!
