The Story of the Woman Caught in Adultery (John 7:53-8:11)
This sermon focuses on the unique story of the woman caught in adultery and brought before Jesus.
This is an interesting story in part because of its textual history. First, it does not appear in the earliest manuscripts of the John’s Gospel. And second, even though it was not part of the earliest manuscripts, it is still thought to be a true story about Jesus.
