Revelation can get kind of scary at times. This week’s bible passage involves four fallen angels (i.e., demons) being released to wreak havoc upon the earth. These demons then lead a bizarre army of 200 million horsemen that charge throughout the earth. The damage inflicted by this army comes from the horses themselves who have lion-like heads and snake-like tails. This enormous evil army of horses and riders eventually will kill one third of the earth’s population. However, amid this tragic and violent judgment, God’s hope is that people will repent and be saved. In other words, in the middle of the judgment, there is grace. Join us as we reflect upon God’s wrath and mercy that are part of God’s plan for redeeming this fallen, broken world.
