The Church in Ephesus
In Jesus’ letter to the first of the seven churches, he encourages the Ephesian believers to take hope and to take action.
Their hope is in Jesus’ presence and sovereign power. Their action is to continue working hard for the church, persevering through difficult circumstances, and preserving orthodox doctrine. These are things that they were already doing well. However, they were also challenged to recapture the love that they once had for God and for people. In other words, somehow, someway, they had forsaken their first love. Tune into this message to learn from the Ephesians’ example, both good and bad.
