Understanding Revelation
Today we are beginning a new sermon series on the book of Revelation.
The series begins with some “big picture” concepts as we prepare to dive into the text. These include topics such as interpretive approaches to Revelation, literary genre, and historical/cultural context. Next, we will look at the first 3 verses of the book. This powerful prologue gives us the common title of the book, the chain of communication for God’s vision, the ultimate authority behind this vision, and the blessings to be received from hearing, believing, and obeying the book’s message.
