The Greatest Commandment
In this service, Pastor Scott discusses the Greatest Commandment ever given.
A big debate among first century Jewish religious leaders was which of the 613 commandments in the Jewish Law was the most important? In this sermon’s text, Jesus was asked by a Pharisee scholar to share his opinion on the debate. In response, Jesus did not hesitate to give his answer on what was the most important commandment. In addition, Jesus answers a question that had not been asked, “Which was the second greatest commandment?” Ultimately, Jesus reveals that if we keep these two commandments, we will keep the entire law.
