God's Love for the Gentiles
Join us as we dive into Acts!
This sermon is based on Acts 10, one of the most important chapters in the Book of Acts and in the entire New Testament. Why? The reason is that Acts 10 represents and epoch-making turning point in God’s plan of salvation. Up to this point, the Jesus movement has been a movement among Jews to other Jews. After all, were they not God’s chosen people? But in this chapter, we see that God makes it abundantly clear that he has also chosen the Gentiles. He has decided to allow the Gentiles to hear the Gospel, believe the Gospel, and personally respond to the Gospel, just like the Jews. In other words, God’s plan of salvation is now offered to all people everywhere. And, of all people, this begins with a Roman military officer named Cornelius along with his family and friends. Hear Cornelius story and celebrate the fact that God so loved the world - the whole world, both Jews and Gentiles and all people everywhere, that he gave his one and only son Jesus that whoever believes in him will not perish, but instead receive eternal life!
