Additionally, in May we will celebrate Mother’s Day with our annual breakfast in honor of Calvary’s mothers. This year, there will be two breakfasts on May 12, one served at 8:15 for those attending the Bridge service, and another at 9:15 for those attending the Traditional service. Everyone is invited to breakfast in honor of our mothers.
Furthermore, on Mother’s Day, we will dedicate some of our babies and young children – always a significant event in the life of our church. We are very grateful for our numerous young families and their children. Thank you for choosing Calvary.
May is also the month when our nation celebrates Memorial Day. This is an important time to pay tribute to those who have served in our military and especially to those who have lost a family member in service of our country. We are grateful for those serving us so sacrificially.
Finally, this year, May will be a season of preparation for our summer mission projects that will take place in July. Please save the date of Sunday evening, May 19. This is the evening when we will have a Disciples’ Cross training introducing our four mission projects in July and explaining how we can all get involved. So, mark your calendars for Sunday, May 19 at 5:30 in the Hangar.
As your Pastor, I’m honored to serve with you as we reach out to those who are not yet part of us. Let’s have a special May 2024. Let’s especially make it special for the kingdom of God.
