This year, we will celebrate an early Easter on March 31. Therefore, this is a very important month to prepare our hearts for the highest holy day of the year – Resurrection Sunday!
This year at Calvary, we will celebrate Easter in a variety of ways:
Family Devotionals Using Our Lent Worship Guide
These guides were written in-house by our Next Gen leaders. It is an excellent Easter resource, especially for families with children.
Palm Sunday (March 24):
This year, we are honored to have Dr. Rex Horne coming to preach on the topic of Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem. Rex is the Executive Director of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention and a friend of Calvary. Come be part of a joint worship service featuring our children waving palm branches. The service will begin at 9 a.m.
Spring Fest (March 24)
This year we will continue our tradition of celebrating Spring Fest after our bible studies and Palm Sunday worship. It will be a great family day for Calvary (both for our families with kids but also for our church family and community families). Come enjoy the fun, food, and Easter celebrations.
Maundy Thursday Prayer Service (March 28)
Join us for our annual prayer night on Thursday of Passion Week. This will be a creative prayer service that concludes with the partaking of the Lord’s Supper. It is the perfect event to prepare our hearts for Good Friday – the day of Jesus’ crucifixion.
Resurrection Sunday (March 31)
By the end of the month, we will all be ready to passionately celebrate our Lord’s resurrection. Easter Sunday at Calvary will follow our normal worship schedule with both the Bridge and Traditional Worship services with our bible study classes sandwiched in between. You will not want to miss this magnificent day of worship at Calvary.
