January 2023
It is hard to believe that 2022 is almost over. It has been a busy and fruitful year for our church..
I am very pleased with the hard work that so many have put into our ministry plans and our ministry projects this past year. I truly believe that our church is on the verge of some exciting kingdom opportunities. I will look forward to sharing some of these in my annual “State of the Church Address” to be given on Sunday morning January 22.
In the meantime, we have the honor of kicking off the new year on January 1st with Ryan Perkins preaching our New Year’s message. Ryan and Callie will also share a brief update on their new church plant in Austin, Texas. Some very exciting things are in motion with this new church which is now one of Calvary’s mission partners.
Also, on January 12th, the Prayer Team has prepared an exciting churchwide prayer service. It will be a time of reflection and celebration of the many stories of transformation that took place in 2022 along with so many answered prayers to celebrate. The service will be held in the Hangar and start at 6 p.m. You do not want to miss this exciting worship experience.
And finally, after the State of the Church Address, we will officially kick off our Strategic Plan campaign. The end of January and the month of February will provide time to inform the church of our plans and to prepare ourselves to invest in the new kingdom opportunities coming our way.
All in all, January will be a great month for a great church named Calvary. So, let me conclude by simply wishing each of you and your families the very happiest of New Years!
Pastor Scott
