Special Services & More | August 2026
Calvary Family,
I am excited that August has arrived and hope that everyone will have a strong finish to their summer. At Calvary, we will have numerous special worship services in August.
First, we will conclude our Next Gen Sermon Series on the book of Jude on August 2. What a great job each of our speakers have done! Thank you, Garrett, for putting together such a great study and such a great team of preachers. Additionally, this day will include our commissioning prayer for all our children who are about to start school. It is such a meaningful moment to see and pray over all of the backpacks representing these precious children.
Second, we will enjoy our traditional All Worship/Choir Favorites on Sunday August 9th. I would encourage all Calvary members to consider attending both worship services on this day as both will provide excellent worship experiences.
Next, you will not want to miss our combined worship service on August 16th. This service will begin at 9 a.m. and will provide mission reports on our summer mission partnerships. Additionally, the service will include a baby dedication ceremony and a celebration of the Lord’s Supper led by our deacons. Those of you who experienced this type of service a few months ago know that you will not want to miss this worship service. And, remember, following the bible study hour on the 16th, we will have our annual fish fry and Summer Fest activities. What a great day it will be as we celebrate the end of summer 2026.
Then, on Sunday August 23, I will begin our next sermon series on David, a man after God’s own heart. Obviously, this is a worthy study for any believer who wants to grow closer to God.
