Gratitude & Generosity | November 2025

Autumn in Arkansas is one of the most beautiful times of the year. Cool mornings and evenings, colorful trees, joyful festivals, and upcoming holidays to enjoy. These are all beautiful gifts given to us by our gracious and glorious God.

In response, as we enter into the holiday season of 2025, it should be a season of giving. This year, Calvary has numerous ministry opportunities that need your support. Below are some of them:

Operation Christmas Child = Need Items to Pack Christmas Shoeboxes for Children (see Susan Thomas or place items in the OCC collection box in the church foyer)

Peru Christmas Outreach = Need Money to Purchase Items for Our Christmas Outreach Project through Calvary’s Peruvian Ministry Partner Zona Zegura (see Becky Collins or give through Calvary's online giving)

Arkansas Food Bank = Canned Goods/Non-Perishable Food Items/Toiletries to Assist Families in Need (note: due to the government shutdown, the needs are greater than usual; drop boxes are in the church foyer).

Holiday Hope Tree = Provides Christmas Gifts for Foster Children through Calvary’s Ministry Partner The Call (see Katie Veazey)

Safe Haven Baby Box = Will Be Placed in the New Fire Station in West Little Rock as an Option for Mother’s to Safely, Legally, and Anonymously Surrender Their Baby (see Lew Brown or give money through Calvary’s on-line giving)

In short, there are numerous opportunities to give generously to important ministries and causes. As your bible study classes think about Christmas projects, please consider one or more of the above opportunities. As we give generously in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we will be living out the angels’ message after the birth of Jesus, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests (Luke 2:14).”
