Welcome to Calvary Student Ministry! At CSM, we believe that we exist to make disciples who shape the culture with the gospel of Jesus Christ. In Acts 17, it says that God was using followers of Jesus to turn the world upside down.
Our prayer for our student ministry and for this generation of young people is that God would use them to do just that: to change the world! We seek to raise up these increasingly devoted followers of Jesus by staying rooted in the gospel, which leads to transformation, which leads to mission. When students are being transformed and living on mission, God can do “above and beyond all that we ask or think” through them.
Feel free to look over our vision, see what events are coming up, attend one of our gatherings, or use the resources that we have made available to you to help with family discipleship. We would love for your student to be a part of what is happening at Calvary Student Ministry!
At Calvary Student Ministry, we exist to make disciples who shape the culture with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We seek to do this through gospel-‐centered transformation and gospel-‐centered mission.
GOSPEL (TITUS 3:4-‐7)
The gospel is the finished work of Christ on behalf of sinners that makes it possible for us to experience relationship with God. This is the foundation for all that we do at CSM. We want to teach it, learn it, love it, and live it.
TRANSFORMATION (2 COR. 3:18)
We believe that through our focus on the gospel, students will be put in a position to experience real change from the inside out by looking to who Jesus is and what he has done for them. We are not after behavior modification. We are after true life change.
MISSION (ACTS 1:8)
As students continue to be transformed into the image of Jesus, who came on mission to rescue us, we believe that they will increasingly find themselves living on mission so that others might be rescued. Our desire is that they would engage the lost with the gospel locally, nationally, and internationally.
CULTURE-SHAPING (MATT. 5:13-16)
When transformation and mission work together with the help of the Holy Spirit, students begin to shape the culture of their teams, friend groups, and families. We believe that students are not merely meant to stand apart from culture, but they are meant to engage the culture with the gospel.
Refuge is our Wednesday night student ministry gathering. We begin with a free meal at 6:00, followed by worship and a time of teaching at 6:30. This is a time of singing, growing, and fun for our students. If you are looking for a way to get involved, Refuge is a great place to start!
Sunday school begins at 9:30 every Sunday, but students are often here early to hang out with one another and enjoy some breakfast together. We break up into junior high boys, junior high girls, and a co-‐ed high school class in order to study Scripture together, encourage one another, and see how the truths of God’s Word affect every area of life.
Sunday nights are a time of community for our student ministry. We gather together in homes, eat dinner, have fun, and learn what it means to follow Jesus. Sunday nights are focused on training students to live out their faith in every area of their lives every day.
