Interim Student Pastor
I came to Calvary in 2022 and now serve as the Interim Student Pastor. In this role, I have the privilege of ministering to our students and coordinating and equipping our student volunteer leaders to minister to them as well.
I currently am finishing up my last semester of my undergraduate degree in Christian Studies at Ouachita Baptist University. In the fall of 2022, I will be enrolling in an online master’s program through Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary to work towards attaining a Master of Divinity Degree with a concentration in the Biblical Languages.
I met my wife, Lauren, during my time at Ouachita, and we married in the summer of 2021, right before our senior year there. She is both my best friend and my strongest supporter in the ministry. Since day one of meeting her, she has encouraged me, strengthened me, and made me into a better man of God. Lauren is also graduating in the spring of 2022 with an undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology and will be immediately going to UAMS in Little Rock for Physician Assistant School.
In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, reading books, and watching tv shows and movies, especially anything Star Wars or Marvel! I love anything with a good story that brings you into another world. I also greatly enjoy spending time outside by going on runs, hiking, or doing nature photography.
My hope for Calvary is that in everything we do, we will all be grounded in the word of God, for it is only through the word of God that people can encounter God. I believe that if we all center our lives on the word that comes from God, then our lives will truly reflect both his love and his glory. And when that happens there is no telling what wonderful things God will accomplish through us.
